Gert Koch, born in 1956 in Southern Germany, is an internationally known artist.
He studied in Germany Art and Architecture. In Japan he was a student of Hitoshi Kobayashi.
For over thirty years, Gert Koch devoted mainly to the woodcut (numerous international exhibitions since that time). He broke new ground, both technically and thematically, and created an independent, exciting and very meaningful work.
His woodcuts and objects are in many prestigious museums, municipal facilities, public and private collections represented (among others in the Würth art collection).
Gert Koch lives and works in Germany D-72532 Gomadingen and on a Cape Verdean Island.
